Germany, Heer. An Artillerie-Regiment 17 Christmas 1935 Commemorative Stein

(Artillerie-Regiment 17 Erinnerungs-Krug). Constructed of glazed off-white earthenware, the exterior bearing a hand-painted depiction of a transitional Stahlhelm, situated against a backdrop of oak leaves trimmed with a classic Wehrmacht red, white, and black tri-colour border, topped by a unit dedication of “UNDERSTAB III./ARTL. REGT. 17” for the staff of Artillerie-Regiment 17, situated above mounted machine guns and an inscription of “WEIHNACHTEN 1935” (“CHRISTMAS 1935”), with a protruding handle emanating from the side, flanked by an etched mark of “10/20L” for a capacity of one half-litre, measuring 14 cm (w) (inclusive of handle) x 12.5 cm (h), the thumb piece and lid are missing but no chips or cracks are evident, in better than very fine condition.
