(Wehrpaß und Führerschein). A military passport measuring 105 mm (w) x 145 mm (h), dated to 11 June 1937, and in extremely fine condition. A military driver’s license issued 11 October 1940, allowing Fleischer to drive Class 2 vehicles, measuring 101 mm (w) x 146 mm (h), some fraying at bottom edges and small ink stain inside, and in extremely fine condition.
Footnote: The Wehrpaß for Adolf Fleischer includes his photo and personal information such as his birth on 13 March 1897 in Eichendorf, Bavaria. Between 15 April 1916 and 3 January 1919, Fleischer served in the Pioneer Battalion 4th Company in Magdeburg, and, from 16 May 1940 to 19 October 1940, in the Brückenkolonne B (mot) 672. Fleischer received a promotion to the rank of gefreiter on 1 July 1940. According to the section Aktiver Wehrdienst (Active Military Service), from 9-13 June 1940, Fleischer participated in the battle at Aisne, and from 14-17 June 1940, he fought in the Champagne region, across the Rhine-Mance canal until reaching the Swiss border. He spent the remainder of the summer with troops occupying France. In October of 1940, Fleischer was redeployed to Landwehr.
