In response to evolving domestic opinion, eMedals Inc has made the conscious decision to remove the presentation of German Third Reich historical artifacts from our online catalogue. For three decades, eMedals Inc has made an effort to preserve history in all its forms. As historians and researchers, we have managed sensitive articles and materials with the greatest of care and respect for their past and present social context. We acknowledge the growing sentiments put forth by the Canadian public and have taken proactive actions to address this opinion.

Description
(Heer Bajonette). A pair of Heer bayonets, including:
1 A dress bayonet, measuring 41 cm in total length when inserted into the scabbard. It features a 26 cm-long, nickel-plated, magnetic steel bladed with a fuller running the majority of the top edge of each side. Stamped onto the reverse ricasso is the helmet logo of a documented but unidentified manufacturer. The blade sits securely within a multi-piece, nickel-plated, magnetic metal hilt with a hooked quillon, and with an intact green wool buffer pad covering the seam. The pommel has a hollow insertion slot retaining a functional push-button release. Two pieces of pebbled black bakelite compose the handle grip and are secured in place with dual magnetic metal rivets. Accompanying the dagger is its original scabbard, constructed of a black painted magnetic metal shaft. A downward-pointing hook emanating from the side of the shaft accommodates a frog, constructed of multiple panels of blackened leather and looped for belt suspension. The throat retains a functional spring catch to firmly hold the bayonet in place during storage. Demonstrating only minor signs of age and wear, it remains in a near extremely fine condition.
2. A K98 combat bayonet, measuring 40.5 cm in total length when inserted into the scabbard. It features a 25 cm-long magnetic steel blade demonstrating factory-original bluing and sharpening of the tip and lower edge. A wide fuller runs the majority of the length of each side of the blade. The obverse ricasso is stamped with a serial number of “8115”, while the reverse ricasso bears a maker’s mark of “E. U. F. HÖRSTER”, for the noted Solingen-based edged weapons firm. The blade sits securely within a magnetic metal hilt, with the pommel featuring a hollow insertion slot retaining a functional push-button spring release. The pommel is stamped with clearly-legible Waffenamt marks. Two piece of ribbed dark brown wood compose the handle piece, and are secured together with dual magnetic metal rivets. Accompanying the bayonet is its original scabbard, constructed of a patinated magnetic metal shaft. A downward-pointing hook emanating from the side of the shaft accommodates a frog, constructed of multiple panels of blackened leather and looped for belt suspension. The reverse of the frog bears a maker’s mark of “OTTO STEPHAN, MÜHLHAUSEN”, circumscribing a manufacture date of “1941”. The throat retains a functional spring catch to firmly hold the bayonet in place during storage. Demonstrating only minor signs of age and wear, it remains in a near extremely fine condition.
