Description

(Verleihungsurkunden). A pair of award documents named to Karl Rapp, including:

1. One for a 1939 Iron Cross I Class, named to Rapp as a Hauptmann der Reserve zur Verwendung (d. R. z. V.) of XXIV. Panzer Korps, awarded from headquarters on 18 March with an erroneous year, certified by the handwritten signature of General Walther Nehring (Knight's Cross of the Iron Cross, 24 July 1941; with Oak Leaves, 8 February 1944; and Swords, 22 January 1945), measuring 14 cm (w) x 20 cm (h), demonstrating multiple folding creases, a desirable example featuring the signature of a high-decorated commander of the Afrikakorps with an unusual date error in very fine condition.

2. One for an Honour Cross of the World War 1914/1918 for Combatants, named to Rapp as a Kaufmann (merchant/businessman) and resident of Vienna, issued in Vienna on 1 December 1939, measuring 21 cm (w) x 15 cm (h), demonstrating folding creases throughout, in near extremely fine condition.
