(Heer Verleihungsurkunden). An extensive mixed lot of award documents and correspondence to Gefreiter Alfred Rühle, including:
1. An award document for a 1939 Iron Cross II Class, constructed of off-white paper stock with black ink, named to Rühle as a Gefreiter of Panzerjäger-Abteilung 256, issued at headquarters on 14 January 1944, featuring the handwritten signature of Generalmajor Wilhelm Falley (Knight’s Cross of the Iron Cross, 26 November 1941; killed in an ambush by paratroopers of the US 82nd Airborne Division on 6 June 1944 in Picauville, Normandy), the reverse bearing a typewritten inscription indicating that Rühle was noted for his bravery in combat and personally destroyed two tanks on 27 and 29 December 1943 during enemy assaults, measuring 140 mm (w) x 200 mm (h), in extremely fine condition.
2. An award document for a Tank Destruction Badge, constructed of off-white paper with multi-coloured ink, named to Rühle as a Gefreiter of Panzerjäger-Abteilung 256, issued on 27 February 1944, measuring 145 mm (w) x 210 mm (h), with a central folding crease visible, in near extremely fine condition.
3. An award document for a Black Grade Wound Badge, named to Rühle as a Gefreiter of Panzerjäger-Abteilung 256, issued on 14 March 1944 for a single wound suffered on 12 January 1944, featuring the handwritten signature of an unidentified Major and Company Commander of Panzerjäger-Abteilung 256, measuring 140 mm (w) x 200 mm (h), in extremely fine condition.
4. An award document for a General Assault Badge, constructed of off-white paper stock with multi-coloured ink, named to Rühle as a Gefreiter of Panzerjäger-Abteilung 256, issued on 20 April 1944, featuring the handwritten signature of an unidentified Major and Company Commander of Panzerjäger-Abteilung 256, measuring 148 mm (w) x 210 mm (h), in near extremely fine condition.
5. An award document for a 1939 Iron Cross I Class, constructed of off-white paper stock with multi-coloured ink, named to Rühle as a Gefreiter of Panzerjäger-Abteilung 256, issued on 24 July 1944, featuring the handwritten signature of Generaloberst Georg-Hand Reinhardt (Knight’s Cross of the Iron Cross, 27 October 1939; with Oak Leaves, 17 February 1942; and Swords, 26 May 1944), measuring 140 mm (w) x 200 mm (h), in near extremely fine condition.
6. A mixed lot of seven prewar award documents and correspondence to Rühle from the HJ for participation in National Trade Competitions, as well as a Saar patriotic movement and Aryan certification for Wehrmacht entry, in overall extremely fine condition.
7. A miscellaneous lot of paperwork for the payment of church taxes to the Lutheran Church, as well as documents from the German Labour Front (DAF), in overall extremely fine condition.
8. A mixed lot of eight award documents and certificates of merit issued to Rühle from his employer and workers’ collectives in the German Democratic Republic (DDR) throughout the 1970s, in overall extremely fine condition.
