(Heer Verleihungsurkunde). A mixed lot of award documents named to Ludwig Eberhardt, including:
1. One for a West Wall Medal, named to Eberhardt as a bricklayer and resident of Hürben (Bavaria), issued in Berlin on 21 March 1940, certified by the facsimile signature of Otto Meissner, measuring 15 cm (w) x 21 cm (h), in extremely fine condition.
2. One for a General Assault Badge, named to Eberhardt as a Obergefeiter of the Staff of Aufklärungs-Abteilung 125 (125. Infanterie-Division), issued from headquarters on 12 June 1942, certified by the handwritten signature of Oberst (later Generalleutnant) Helmut Friebe (Knight's Cross of the Iron Cross, 13 August 1941) in his capacity as stand-in commander of 125. Infanterie-Division, measuring 15 cm (w) x 21 cm (h), in extremely fine condition.
3. One for a Black Grade Wound Badge, named to Eberhardt as an Unteroffizier of 1. Schwadron, Aufklärungs-Abteilung 125, issued from headquarters on 5 May 1943 for a single wound suffered on 1 May, certified by the handwritten signature of an unidentified Major and company commander, measuring 14 cm (w) x 20 cm (h), in extremely fine condition.
4. An award booklet for the German Equestrian Badge, constructed of a paper stock binding with 14 paginated interior pages featuring handwritten entries for Eberhardt’s performances in equestrian sports, culminating in a Bronze Grade award on 2 May 1941, measuring 16.5 cm (w) x 23.5 cm (h), demonstrating some discolouration to the binding, in better than very fine condition.
5. A pair of NSDAP-issued documents, including a piece of unused stationery issued by Gau Moselland, measuring 15 cm (w) x 21 cm (h), demonstrating a tear to the left edge, in very fine condition, and; a documented detailing provisions of clemency for past criminal convictions, measuring 21 cm (w) x 29.5 cm (h), demonstrating minor tearing to the edges, in very fine condition.
