In response to evolving domestic opinion, eMedals Inc has made the conscious decision to remove the presentation of German Third Reich historical artifacts from our online catalogue. For three decades, eMedals Inc has made an effort to preserve history in all its forms. As historians and researchers, we have managed sensitive articles and materials with the greatest of care and respect for their past and present social context. We acknowledge the growing sentiments put forth by the Canadian public and have taken proactive actions to address this opinion.

Description
Description
(Heer Bajonett M84/98). An extremely well-preserved Heer K98 combat bayonet, measuring 40 cm in total length when inserted into the scabbard. It features a 25 cm-long, toned, magnetic steel blade which retains original sharpness to the tip and lower edge. Wide fullers run the majority of the length of the upper edge of each side of the blade. Stamped onto the obverse ricasso is a serial number of “0962”, while the reverse ricasso bears a manufacturer code of “COF”, indicating production by Carl Eickhorn, Solingen, with a date of “44”. The blade sits securely within a toned magnetic steel hilt with a hollow insertion slot set into the pommel which retains a functional push-button release. Two pieces of ribbed brown wood compose the handle grip, and are fixed in place with dual metal rivets. The bayonet is accompanied by its original scabbard, constructed of a toned magnetic metal shaft. A downward-pointing hook emanates from the side of the shaft just below the throat for the inclusion of a frog. It is appropriately stamped with a matching serial number of “0962” and Eickhorn code. Demonstrating no notable damage or wear, this complete and late-war set remains in an extremely fine condition.
