In response to evolving domestic opinion, eMedals Inc has made the conscious decision to remove the presentation of German Third Reich historical artifacts from our online catalogue. For three decades, eMedals Inc has made an effort to preserve history in all its forms. As historians and researchers, we have managed sensitive articles and materials with the greatest of care and respect for their past and present social context. We acknowledge the growing sentiments put forth by the Canadian public and have taken proactive actions to address this opinion.

Description
Description
(Wehrmacht Heer Windschlupfjacke für Gebirgsjäger). An extremely well-preserved Wehrmacht (Heer) Gebirgsjäger reversible wind jacket (anorak), constructed of a multi-panel field cotton/rayon blended cloth base. It features a hood which retains an original drawstring, with a vertical slash set into the front of the collar which closes with a further drawstring looped through an array of metal grommets. The slash is in turn covered by a flap which closes with three composite buttons which meet reinforced buttonholes. The cuff of each sleeve has an integral strap which securely fastens with a functional magnetic metal buckle. The chest of each side features three side-by-side pockets, all closing with scalloped flaps perforated with reinforced buttonholes, in turn meeting composite buttons. Additional pockets are set into the lower sides, with identical button and flap closures. Notably, the interior shows analogous features, indicating that the garment is intended to be a reversible jacket which, when dyed white, can be used in winter field conditions. Unmarked, the anorak measures approximately 58 cm across the shoulders, with an arm length 56 cm, and an overall length of 76 cm. Some oxidation is visible to the collar grommets, resulting in soiling of the base material, but the anorak demonstrates no other notable damage or wear, and remains in an extremely fine condition.
