In response to evolving domestic opinion, eMedals Inc has made the conscious decision to remove the presentation of German Third Reich historical artifacts from our online catalogue. For three decades, eMedals Inc has made an effort to preserve history in all its forms. As historians and researchers, we have managed sensitive articles and materials with the greatest of care and respect for their past and present social context. We acknowledge the growing sentiments put forth by the Canadian public and have taken proactive actions to address this opinion.

Description
Description
(Heer Schirmmütze für Mannschaften der Flak/Artillerie). An extremely well-preserved Heer Flak/Artillery EM/NCO’s visor cap, constructed of fine field-grey wool. It features reinforced side walls fully lined on the exterior with a dark green wool cap band. Both the top and bottom edges of the cap band are trimmed with red wool piping, while an additional length of identical piping borders the outer edge of the crown. Pinned onto the peak is a silvered zink insignia consisting of a Wehrmacht eagle clutching a wreathed mobile swastika, measuring 65 mm (w) x 25 mm (h) and retaining both original attachment prongs. Directly below the eagle, the center of the cap band is pinned with a multi-piece aluminum wreath and cockade, measuring 65 mm (w) x 40 mm (h) and retaining all original attachment prongs, The lower edge of the cap band is flanked on each side by a blackened magnetic metal stud, in turn accommodating an original multi-piece black leatherette chinstrap, adjusted with dual functional magnetic metal buckles. Completing the exterior features is a protruding vulcanfibre visor which is finished in black on the obverse and in light brown on the reverse. A mutli-piece brown rayon liner encompasses the interior, while a wide light brown leather sweatband surrounds the walls and is perforated across the forehead with ventilation holes. The crown retains a fully-intact transparent plastic moisture guard which bears a maker’s mark of “JOSEF WEITHMANN, AUGSBURG”. The cap measures approximately 25 cm (w) x 26.5 cm (l) x 16 cm (h). Minor and age-appropriate material fatigue is visible throughout the leather and leatherette elements, with additional scratching evident to the visor, but the cap remains in an overall near extremely fine condition.
