In response to evolving domestic opinion, eMedals Inc has made the conscious decision to remove the presentation of German Third Reich historical artifacts from our online catalogue. For three decades, eMedals Inc has made an effort to preserve history in all its forms. As historians and researchers, we have managed sensitive articles and materials with the greatest of care and respect for their past and present social context. We acknowledge the growing sentiments put forth by the Canadian public and have taken proactive actions to address this opinion.

Description
Description
(Heer Bajonett). An extremely well-preserved Heer dress bayonet, measuring 39.5 cm in total length when inserted into the scabbard. It features a 25 cm-long, nickel-plated, magnetic steel blade which retains factory-original sharpening to both the tip and lower edge, and with a wide fuller running the majority of the length of the top edge of each side. The obverse ricasso is maker marked with the classic knight’s helmet logo of Weyersberg, Kirschbaum & Cie, Solingen. It sits securely within a nickel-plated alloy hilt with a hooked quillon and pommel, with an intact leather buffer pad covering the seam. A hollow insertion slot set into the pommel retains both a red wool insert and functional push-button spring release. Two pieces of pebbled black bakelite compose the handle grip, and are fastened in place with dual magnetic metal rivets. Accompanying the bayonet is its original scabbard, constructed of a black painted magnetic metal shaft. A downward-pointing hook emanates from the side for the accommodation of a frog, which is included and constructed of multiple panels of blackened leather which are riveted into a loop for belt suspension. Wrapped around the frog is a portepee consisting of a stylized green rayon threaded acorn with a silver-grey cupule, suspended from a green rayon cord. A functional spring catch situated within the throat holds the bayonet in place during storage. Demonstrating no notable damage or wear, this superb example remains in an extremely fine condition.
