(Auszeichnungen). A mixed lot of Wehrmacht awards produced according to 1957 regulations, demonstrating the characteristics of high-quality and early (c. 1965) production, including:
1. A Black Grade Wound Badge, constructed of blackened bronze, the obverse consisting of an oval laurel leaf wreath with scalloped edges, joined together at the bottom by ribbon, with a central raised Stahlhelm on top of crossed swords on a pebbled field, the reverse with a clip hinge and vertical pinback meeting a flat wire catch, unmarked, measuring 38.25 mm (w) x 43.24 mm (h), weighing 5.7 grams, in extremely fine condition.
2. A Gold Grade Wound Badge, constructed of gilded bronze, the obverse consisting of an oval laurel leaf wreath, joined together at the bottom by ribbon, with a central raised Stahlhelm on top of crossed swords on a pebbled field, the reverse with a barrel hinge and vertical pinback meeting a flattened catch, unmarked, measuring 36.87 mm (w) x 44.24 mm (h), weighing 35.4 grams, in extremely fine condition.
3. A War Merit Cross I Class with Swords, constructed of silvered bronze, consisting of a Maltese Cross with crossed swords piercing the centrepiece, the obverse with pebbled arms and a central wreathed date of “1939”, the reverse with a barrel hinge and vertical pinback meeting a flattened catch, unmarked, measuring 49.88 mm (w) x 48.70 mm (h), weighing 22.6 grams, in extremely fine condition.
4. A Wehrmacht Driver Proficiency Badge, Bronze Grade, constructed of bronze, the obverse consisting of a circular laurel leaf wreath, surrounding a central steering wheel on a pebbled background, the reverse with both attachment prongs intact, unmarked, measuring 40.72 mm (w) x 44.37 mm (h), weighing 6.7 grams, in extremely fine condition.
