German, HJ. A Trumpet Flag

(HJ Fanfarentuch). A very well-preserved HJ trumpet flag, consisting of a heavy red cotton-blended cloth base, overlaid by across the centre by double-sided white cotton-blended bars, in turn defaced by double-sided white cotton-blended diamonds bearing black mobile swastikas, the lower right corner of each side bearing white hand-embroidered Bann numbers of “3/321”, with three edges bearing gold bullion tresses culminating in twisted fringes of identical construction, the upper edge reinforced with an additional layer of red cotton-blended cloth topped by three drawstrings for attachment to a corresponding instrument, unmarked, measuring 57 cm (w) x 60 cm (h), demonstrating no notable damage or wear with the exception of minor and sporadic soiling and some material fatigue to the centrepeice, a scarce example in extremely fine condition.
