(Suomen Valkoisen Ruusun Ritarikunta). Instituted January 28th, 1919. Type II. A matching set featuring the neck badge of the order in silver gilt consisting of a Maltese Cross with white enamelled arms and a Lion of Finland wielding a sword in the quadrant, the obverse with a white enamelled rose in a bed of dark blue enamels, marked with hallmark for manufacture by Alexander Tillander of Helsinki between 1946-1973, “813 H” (813 Hopea = silver) as well as the national crown, measuring 50.25 mm (w) x 55.25 mm (h - inclusive of integral ring), weighing 60.01 grams, on original ribbon; accmpanied by the star of the order, also in silver, consisting of a five-pointed star with each point consisting of eight rays with scaled between the arms of the cross, the obverse with a central turquoise enamelled medallion bearing a white enamelled white rose, surrounded by a black band of enamels inscribed “Isänmaan Hyväksi” (For the Good of the Fatherland) in gilt in capitalized Finish script, the reverse plain, with a barrel hinge, vertical pinback with Gold pin, and round wire catch, 79.42 mm (w) x 77.93 mm (h), 68.7 grams, toned silver, worn and remains extremely fine as a set.
