(Wisam al'aemal aljadirat bialtaqdir / وسام الأعمال الجديرة بالتقدير). Instituted in 1917. Modern. Fullsize: in silver, maker marked "RI" and marked "SILVER" on the reverse, measuring 36 mm in diameter, original ribbon with pinback, internal bar marked ROYAL INSIGNIA, polished silver, in near mint condition.
Miniature: in silver, maker marked "RI" and marked "SILVER" on the reverse, measuring 18.2 mm in diameter, original ribbon, internal ribbon bar marked ROYAL INSIGNIA, in near mint condition.
Footnote: The Medal for Meritorious Actions was instituted by Sultan Husain Kamil in 1917 and awarded without discrimination of sex or nationality, for long and meritorious services to the King, the state or society. Modified by King Fu’ad I in 1923 and 1928, and ranked after all orders and military medals. It is awarded in three categories: I Class Gold Grade, II Class Silver Grade, and III Class Bronze Grade.
