Masaryk 85th Birthday Commemorative Medal 1935, Bronze Grade (in bronze gilt, obverse with the right-facing bust of Tomas Masaryk, inscribed "TOMAS G." to the left and "MASARYK" to the right, engraver marked "O. SPANIEL" below the bust, reverse inscribed "NA PAMĚT 85. NAROZENIN PRVNÍHO PRESIDENTA REPUBLIKY ČESKOSLOVENSKÉ" (In Commemoration of the 85th Birthday of the First Czechoslovak President) in the centre, inscribed "7 III 1850" (March 7, 1850) with a branch of linden leaves above and "7 III 1935" (March 7, 1935) with a branch of laurel leaves below, measuring 50.3 mm in diameter, scattered gilt wear);
2. Socialist Republic: Czechoslovak Air Force Navigator Qualification Badge, I Class (in silvered and gilt bronze, with frosting on the sword guard and blade, maker marked "ZUKOV PRAHA 7" on the reverse, measuring 51.5 mm (w) x 52 mm (h), all three prongs intact, contact marks);
3. Socialist Republic: Czechoslovak Air Force Ground Air Mechanic Qualification Badge, II Class (in silvered bronze, with frosting on the shield and propeller blades, maker marked "ZUKOV PRAHA 7" and number stamped "1574" on the reverse, measuring 53.3 mm (w) x 48 mm (h), all three prongs intact, scattered frosting wear).

Footnote: Tomas Garrigue Masaryk (March 7, 1850 to September 14, 1937) was a Czechoslovak politician, socialist and philosopher, who was an eager advocate of Czechoslovak independence during the First World War. He became the founder and first President of Czechoslovakia. He originally wished to reform the Austro-Hungarian monarchy into a democratic federal state, but during the First World War, he began to favour the abolition of the monarchy and, with the help of the Allied Powers, eventually succeeded.
