(Medalla Conmemorativa Victoria de Playa Girón) Victory of Playa Girón Commemorative Medal, gilt metal, obverse showing the combatant figure with rifle raised above a coastal shoreline and the inscription “VICTORIA DE PLAYA GIRÓN”, reverse with national emblem and “REPÚBLICA DE CUBA”, suspended from its original light-blue ribbon with central red stripe and complete with its ribbon bar, measuring 30.6 mm x 35.4 mm inclusive of suspension ring.
2. (Medalla Por el Servicio en las FAR Armed Forces Service Medal), bronze, obverse displaying the standing soldier with raised rifle before radiating star, reverse with inscription “POR EL SERVICIO EN LAS FAR” and Cuban shield, accompanied by its original ribbon with “X” device denoting ten years and complete with its ribbon bar, exhibiting green tarnishing on both sides from age, measuring 30.1 mm x 36.2 mm inclusive of suspension ring.

(Medalla Cruz Roja Cubana) Cuban Red Cross Medal, bronze, obverse bearing the red cross centred within laurel wreath and circled inscription “CRUZ ROJA CUBANA”, reverse with national emblem and designation of service, suspended from its original white-and-red ribbon and complete with its ribbon bar, measuring 30.1 mm x 35.2 mm inclusive of suspension ring.
Footnote: The Victory of Playa Girón Commemorative Medal recognizes participation in the April 1961 defence of Cuba during the Bay of Pigs invasion. The Armed Forces Service Medal (FAR) is awarded to personnel of the Revolutionary Armed Forces for sustained and exemplary military service, with devices such as “X” indicating ten-year periods. The Cuban Red Cross Medal is issued to volunteers and personnel of the Cruz Roja Cubana in acknowledgement of humanitarian and civil-defence duties conducted under the national Red Cross structure.
