Cuba, Republic. A Group of Six Civil and Labour Decorations

1. (Distinción Solidaridad del Barrio) Solidarity of the Neighbourhood Distinction, bronze, the obverse showing a raised five-pointed star over a shield framed by laurel branches, the reverse inscribed “CDR – Comités de Defensa de la Revolución” translated as “Committees for the Defence of the Revolution”, suspended from its red ribbon with green edges and complete with its ribbon bar, measuring 35.3 mm x 40.9 mm.

2. (Distinción Enrique Hart) Enrique Hart Distinction, bronze, obverse with portrait of Enrique Hart within a circular wreath, reverse with the emblem of the Central de Trabajadores de Cuba translated as “Workers’ Central Union of Cuba”, suspended from its red ribbon with yellow edges and complete with its ribbon bar, measuring 30.3 mm x 34.8 mm.

3. (Medalla De la Amistad) Friendship Medal, bronze, obverse bearing clasped hands before the Cuban flag, reverse displaying the national arms encircled by the inscription “República de Cuba”, suspended from its light-blue ribbon with white edges and complete with its ribbon bar, measuring 30 mm x 34.6 mm.

4. (Distinción Emilio Bárcenas) Emilio Bárcenas Distinction, bronze, obverse with raised bust of Emilio Bárcenas surrounded by a laurel wreath, reverse with the insignia of the Cuban education sector, suspended from its yellow ribbon with red centre stripe and complete with its ribbon bar, measuring 30.3 mm x 35.5 mm.

5. (Distinción Rafael María de Mendive) Rafael María de Mendive Distinction, bronze, obverse with portrait of Rafael María de Mendive surrounded by a wreath, the reverse inscribed “SNTEC – Sindicato Nacional de Trabajadores de la Educación, la Ciencia y el Deporte” translated as “National Union of Workers of Education, Science, and Sport”, suspended from its green ribbon with yellow stripe and complete with its ribbon bar, measuring 30 mm x 34.8 mm.

6. (Distinción José Tey) José Tey Distinction, bronze, obverse showing the portrait of José Tey encircled by a wreath, reverse with the emblem of the Cuban student and youth sector, suspended from its red ribbon with yellow edges and complete with its ribbon bar, measuring 30.2 mm x 34.9 mm.

All items are in fine to very fine condition.

They were instituted to recognize exemplary participation in neighbourhood defence, civic vigilance, cultural development, educational service, and social commitment within the Cuban socialist system.
