In response to evolving domestic opinion, eMedals Inc has made the conscious decision to remove the presentation of German Third Reich historical artifacts from our online catalogue. For three decades, eMedals Inc has made an effort to preserve history in all its forms. As historians and researchers, we have managed sensitive articles and materials with the greatest of care and respect for their past and present social context. We acknowledge the growing sentiments put forth by the Canadian public and have taken proactive actions to address this opinion.

Description
Description
(Insignia de la Brigada 2506) A Brigade 2506 Wing Badge, constructed in silvered metal, featuring outstretched wings flanking a central shield bearing the Brigade 2506 emblem consisting of a Christian cross overlaid with the Cuban exile flag, the upper shield inscribed “2506”, the reverse with dual attachment posts, measuring 76.5 mm x 22.1 mm, retaining an attractive aged patina.
The badge is in fine condition, with light wear and age toning.
Footnote: Brigade 2506 was the Cuban exile military force organized and trained for the Bay of Pigs invasion of April 1961. The brigade took its name from the identification number of a member who died during training, and the designation was subsequently adopted as the unit’s official title. Following the failed invasion, Brigade 2506 became one of the most recognizable organizations within the Cuban exile community. Badges and insignia associated with the brigade are highly collectible artifacts of the Cold War and the anti-Castro exile movement.
