1. Notice from the Vukovar Police stating that a short time ago, the Vukovar police district discovered a branch of the communist society, which was preparing communist terrorist acts and as a result, 36 people were arrested, 33 of whom were convicted and sentenced to death by a mobile court in Vukovar, and that they were executed on October 19, 1941 by firing squad, dated at Vukovar on November 27, 1941. 2. Notice indicating that Vukovar Police investigations had established that there was an uprising: 1. Smail Jusić, a 37-year-old Muslim worker, a native of Luparda, living in Caprag; and
2. Ivan Graanić, a Roman Catholic, 20 years old, a carpenter's assistant, a native of Senj, living in Caprag - in the area of the parish of Gora, both of which had arbitrarily killed Greek-Easterners and plundered them. The above were handed over to a mobile court in Zagreb, and after a hearing, sentenced them to death on September 20, 1941. They were executed by firing squad on September 21, 1941. In addition, 50 intellectuals and communists were imprisoned as intellectual initiators of the crime of setting up "hellish machines" in the Directorate of Post and Telecommunications in Zagreb and carrying out communist propaganda. They were sentenced to death by the senate of the mobile court in Zagreb on September 19, 1941 and that they were executed by firing squad. The notice was issued by the Ministry of the Interior, under the Directorate for Public Order and Security No. 33906 and 32907-41.
Both notices are inscribed in Croatian, printed by Tiskara of Vukovar, printed in black ink, on a thick newsprint stock, measuring 208 mm (w) x 340 mm (h) each, both with slight discolouration along with crinkling, however, they are free of tearing. Together, very fine.
