Description

A signed official portrait of the President of China, C.K. Yen, signed by himself vertically along the bottom left corner, the reverse stamped “Photo by Hu Chnng Hsien”, measuring 144 mm (w) x 97 mm (l). Accompanied by a letter from the Office of the President of the Republic of China, addressed to Mr. Samuel S. Kloda, 3941 Carlton Avenue, Montreal, Canada, H35 1m4” from Fu Ti-Chuan, Director of the Office of the President of China, measuring 282 mm (w) x 214 mm (l), in overall extremely fine condition.

Footnote:Yen Chia-Kan (October 23rd 1905 - December 24th, 1993) succeeded Chiang Kai-Shek as President of the Republic of China on April 5th, 1975, being sworn into office on April 6th, 1975 and serving until the end of Chiang’s term on May 20th, 1978.
