In bronze gilt, obverse illustrating two open hands, with four emanating rays along with a large star flanked by four smaller stars above, the stars representing the People's Republic of China, within a circular border, the medal itself pentagon-shaped with large rays at each point, with five smaller rays on all five sides between each of the larger rays, reverse with an inscription, measuring 56.5 mm (w) x 59.5 mm (h) inclusive of its integral ring, suspended from a 50.5 mm (w) x 12.5 mm (h) gilt metal hanger with pinback, adhesive residue evident on the reverse of both the medal and hanger from previous board mounting, near extremely fine.
