Two Second Pattern Glengarry Badges (one with a two-piece construction with a white metal insignia, mounted to a bronze gilt base, the other is in one piece, in bronze, both are voided, unmarked, measuring 54 mm (w) x 65.5 mm (h) each, both with intact lugs); Third Pattern Post-1949 Glengarry Badge (two-piece construction, white metal insignia, mounted to a bronze base, voided, unmarked, measuring 65 mm (w) x 59.5 mm (h), both lugs and pin intact, the one pin having been re-soldered in place); and two Collar Badges (two-piece construction, silvered copper insignia, mounted to a browning copper base, unmarked, measuring 47.5 mm (w) x 19.8 mm (h) each, intact lugs, silvering wear evident on one insignia). Ranging from better than very fine to extremely fine.
Footnote: The Cape Breton Highlanders is an infantry regiment of the Canadian Army. It was established in 1871, merged into The Nova Scotia Highlanders in 1954, and re-established as a distinct regiment in 2011. It is part of the 5th Canadian Division's 36 Canadian Brigade Group and is headquartered at Sydney, Nova Scotia. On January 16, 2011, Canadian Defence Minister Peter MacKay announced that the name of the 2nd Battalion Nova Scotia Highlanders (Cape Breton) would revert to the Cape Breton Highlanders. The regiment's rebadging ceremony was held on September 10, 2011, with MacKay presenting the regiment its camp flag on October 2, 2011.
