A 1939-45 War Medal, in silver, full size, light wear, accompanied by original ribbon and cardboard box, very fine.
A Canadian Overseas Volunteer Service Medal, in silver, full size, light wear, original ribbon and cardboard box, very fine.
A silver nameplate engraved P/O Y.L. THOMAS R.C.A.F. DIED IN HIS COUNTRY’S SERVICE 18 NOV.1943, very fine.
A silver bracelet, silver engraved B60677 S/Sgt. DJ. THOMAS C.A.S.F., reverse marked STERLING, chain closed with ring (no clasp), does not match medal recipient, very fine.
Footnote: Pilot Officer Y.L. Thomas served in the RCAF, and died on November 18, 1943 during the Second War. He was killed in the vicinity of St. Theresa de Bainville, while flying a Harvard II around 11pm.
