Softcover, white card cover with an illustration of the Order of British Columbia on the front cover, entitled "Canadian Orders, Decorations, and Medals, Fourth Edition" by Surgeon Commander Francis John Blatherwick, SDtJ, CD, BSc, MD, DPH, FRCP(C), The Unitrade Press of Toronto, Ontario, copyrighted by the publisher in 1994, printed and bound in Canada, Production Editor Bill Boynton, ISBN 1-895909-13-9. The book documents the various orders, decorations and medals issued to Canadians, stating the terms to which they are issued under, if they come with bars, the date of authorization, with detailed descriptions (obverse and reverse), including suspension mounting and ribbons, whether they are named or not, some with mentions of notable recipients. It begins with an Acknowledgements, followed by About The Author (Blatherwick's Biography), a Table of Contents and an Introduction. The book contains twenty-four chapters: 1 - Canadian and Sovereign Awards; 2 - Provincial Orders; 3 - Canadian Medals of Military Valour; 4 - Canadian Bravery Decorations; 5 - Meritorious Service Decorations; 6 - Current Canadian Medals; 7 - United Nations Medals; 8 - Peacekeeping Medals other than the United Nations; 9 - Canadian Commemorative Medals; 10 - Canadian Long Service and Exemplary Service Medals; 11 - Canadian Medals for Champion Shots; 12- Insignia; 13 - British Orders and Their Medals; 14 - British Gallantry Awards; 15 - British Campaign Medals; 16 - World War One Medals; 17 - World War Two Stars; 18 - World War Two Medals; 19 - Polar Medal; 20 - British Coronation and Jubilee Medals; 21 - British Regular (or Permanent) Force Long Service and Good Conduct Medals; 22 - British Reserve Forces Long Service and Good Conduct Decorations and Medals; 23 - British Meritorious Service Medal; 24 - Foreign Honours.
