1939-1945 Star; Italy Star; France and Germany Star; Defence Medal; Canadian Volunteer Service Medal with Overseas Clasp; War Medal 1939-1945; Korea Medal, Canadian Issue (SG 52033 E.J. LE BLANC); Canadian Volunteer Service Medal for Korea; United Nations Service Medal for Korea (SG 52033 E.J. LE BLANC); and Canadian Forces' Decoration, QEII (E.J. LEBLANC). Naming is officially engraved on the KM, the UNSMK and the CFD. Court-mounted, replacement ribbons, contact marks evident on the obverse of the War Medal and the Korea Medal, better than very fine. Accompanied by his Discharge Certificate and two black and white Photographs (one of him in uniform, the other of eight men in front of a truck in a field setting).
Footnote: Edgar Joseph LeBlanc (G 52033) enlisted for overseas service at No. 7 District Depot in Moncton, New Brunswick, on June 11, 1941. During his tenure in the Canadian Army, he is credited with having served in the United Kingdom, the Mediterranean Area and Continental Europe. For his Second World War service, he was awarded the 1939-1945 Star, the Italy Star, the France and Germany Star, the Defence Medal, the Canadian Volunteer Service Medal with Overseas Clasp and later, the War Medal 1939-1945. LeBlanc was to follow his Second War service with additional service in the Korean War, earning him the Korea Medal and the United Nations Service Medal for Korea. He was discharged from active service upon demobilization to return to civilian life, in Fredericton, New Brunswick, on October 2, 1945.
