Description
Description
A rare and well-preserved Royal Canadian Air Force (RCAF) issued OMEGA HA-62 single-pusher chronograph wristwatch, constructed of a round stainless steel case, with down-turned lugs, and a hesalite crystal. The obverse features a white dial, with an open-ended minute track along the exterior of the dial, and 1-12 graded numerals at every five minute mark, with the exception of three and nine digits, which have been omitted to make room for two subdials. Attached to the center stem are a black hour and minute hand, both filled with luminous material, as well as a non-filled bright red second hand. The left subdial is graded into sixty seconds with a matching open-ended second track. Attached to the center stem of the left sundial is a black second hand. The right subdial is graded into thirty minutes with a matching open-ended second track with a black hand equally attached to the center stem. The dial is printed below the twelve numeral in the center with “OMEGA”, as well as the brand logo directly above, and “SWISS MADE” below the six o’clock marker. The 6.5 mm puck-style crown is knurled for winding and adjusting the time, with a single chronograph pusher directly above. The reverse features a notched screw-down caseback and is marked “RCAF SERIAL No. HA-62-890 6W/16”. This watch measures 38 mm in diameter, with a lug width of 20 mm, a lug-to-lug distance of 45 mm, and with a black aftermarket strap attached. This watch is in worn condition, depicting light scratches on the crystal, with notable dings and scrapes from active-duty use to the case, and with light soiling to the reverse and the worn leather strap. The movement functions, but the chronograph function does not reset to zero. A beautifully preserved, all-original example, in overall better than very fine condition.
