Description
This jacket is fabricated with a khaki exterior and two large pockets, it is affixed with a metal belt buckle along the bottom and has four silver buttons down the center. The interior is marked with a label stating the measurements and the makers mark “Great Western Garment &co”, it measures at 50cm (shoulder to shoulder) x 53cm (shoulder to cuff) x 55cm (top to bottom).
Footnote: The Great Western Garment Company was founded in 1911 in Edmonton, Alberta by Charles A Graham and Alexander Rutherford. It was the largest manufacturer of militaria clothing in the British Commonwealth during the Second World War, producing an estimated 100,00 garments a month.
