Softcover, red card cover with the text on the front cover printed in black ink, entitled "The Story of the Seventh Regiment Fusiliers of London, Canada 1899 to 1914", written at the request of the Canadian Fusiliers (City of London Regiment) by Colonel Francis B. Ware, D.S.O., V.D., London, Canada, 31st December, 1945, printed by the Hunter Printing Company of London, Ontario. The book documents the history of the Seventh Regiment Fusiliers of London (which would later become The Canadian Fusiliers (City of London Regiment). It begins with a Foreword by Fred Landon of The Lawson Memorial Library at the University of Western Ontario in London, followed by a List of Illustrations and an Index. The book contains sixteen chapters, done by year: 1. The Year of 1899; 2. The Year of 1900; 3. The Year of 1901; 4. The Year of 1902; 5. The Year of 1903; 6. The Year of 1904; 7. The Year of 1905; 8. The Year of 1906; 9. The Year of 1907; 10. The Year of 1908; 11. The Year of 1909; 12. The Year of 1910; 13. The Year of 1911; 14. The Year of 1912; 15. The Year of 1913; 16. The Year of 1914. It concludes with an eight-page Epilogue entitled "A Few Days with the Fusiliers at War". The book contains 204 pages of text in English, printed in black ink, on a thick off-white paper stock, with six black and white plates inserted between pages vi-vii, 24-25, 26-27, 58-59, 126-127 and 172-173, the plates printed in black ink, on a white coated paper stock, measuring 153 mm (w) x 228 mm (h) x 15.5 mm (d). It exhibits light wear and curling on the exterior cover, however, the pages within remain pristine. Very fine.
