In response to evolving domestic opinion, eMedals Inc has made the conscious decision to remove the presentation of German Third Reich historical artifacts from our online catalogue. For three decades, eMedals Inc has made an effort to preserve history in all its forms. As historians and researchers, we have managed sensitive articles and materials with the greatest of care and respect for their past and present social context. We acknowledge the growing sentiments put forth by the Canadian public and have taken proactive actions to address this opinion.

Description
A Canadian Pattern service tunic (since 1903), constructed of olive drab coloured wool, featuring a traditional stand up collar with hook and eye closures. The collar bears a brass Canadian Garrison Regiment collar tab on each side. The collar is flanked by sewn on shoulder boards, each with a C.G.R. shoulder title in brass. The front of the tunic presents two pleated breast pockets, with scalloped flaps closed by a brass button. A lower internal pocket is present on each side at the hip, with a straight flap and no closure. Above the left breast pocket sits a medal bar featuring the Queen’s Sudan Medal Ribbon, Queen’s South Africa Ribbon, and Khedive's Sudan Medal Ribbon. Each side of the tunic is secured to the other via seven buttons along the center. The sleeves bear three embroidered chevrons on each side denoting the rank of Sergeant. The cuff of each sleeve is reinforced with a single scallop design. The interior of the tunic is unlined beyond the pockets. A patch on the right side bears the recipient information of “525459 A. CHAMBERLAIN” handwritten in ink. Very minor wear, the tunic is in extremely fine condition.
Footnote: Arthur Chamberlain, born March 1872, had served for 8 years with the Army Service Corps of the British Army, prior to enlisting for the First war in September 1917, in Victoria, B.C. He served with the 5th Battalion, C.G.R., and completed his service within Canada. He was discharged in November 1918 due to demobilization.
