Footnote: Sylvester Nikitush aka Savoire Neitush, from Polessk Russia, enlisted in the 43rd Overseas Battalion in June 1915 and was transferred to the PPLCI on July 9th 1916 joining them in the line in September of that year. The following May, 1917, he was evacuated from the lined wounded only to return to the Princess Pat's and the field a week later. In July of that year, he was once again hospitalized, this time due to 'Shell Shock'. Following time in recovery, he was then transferred into the Canadian Forestry Corps where he would serve out the remainder of the war.
