A small medal bar, court mounted with blue felt reverse, measures 68.1 mm (w) x 77.8 mm (h), comprising:

A British War Medal, in silver, rim impressed 3293752 PTE. J.A. ROY C.S.E.F., full size, dark patina, very fine.

A Victory Medal, in bronze gilt, rim impressed 3293752 PTE. J.A. ROY C.S.E.F., full size, light gilt wear, very fine.

Footnote: Joseph Albert Roy was born in June 1899, in St. Valier, Bellehasse. He was a sailor when he was drafted under the military service act in October 1918. He was taken on strength in November 1918 with the 259th Battalion Siberia. He embarked from Canada in Mid December, and arrived in Siberia on January 12, 1919. Roy was demobilized in May 1919, and returned home via the S.S. Empress of Russia.
