A British War Medal, in silver, rim impressed CAPT. F. THIMM., lovely patina, light wear, better than very fine.
A Victory Medal, in bronze gilt, rim impressed CAPT. F. THIMM., light wear, extremely fine.
Footnote: Frank Thimm was born in Rangoon, Burma in November 1891. He was employed as a bank clerk, with five years experience in the Cadet Corps in England, when he enlisted with the 75th battalion on July 22, 1915 in Toronto.
Thimm enlisted as an officer in the 124th battalion, after 6 months of service, on November 18, 1915. He later served with the Canadian Army Pay Corps.
He was struck off strength on June 10, 1919 after general demobilization.
