Softcover, white card cover with the text in black ink and the maple leaf in red ink, entitled "A Guide to Canadian Shoulder Titles 1939-1985" by Donal J. Sexton, Jr., copyrighted by the author in 1987, published in the United States of America by Pass in Review Publications of Hinsdale, Illinois, printed and bound by Copy Center II of Westmont, Illinois, ISBN 0-943349-01-X, Library of Congress Catalogue Card Number 87-61101. The majority of the book covers the 487 regimental shoulder titles (flashes) and their various alternate versions, through the use of detailed text descriptions, with three pages illustrating the 48 common shapes associated with titles on pages xii, xiii and xix. It begins with a Table of Contents, followed by an Introduction, an Acknowledgments and three pages of Title Background Shapes. The book contains eleven chapters: I - Corps of the Canadian Army; II - Royal Canadian Armoured Corps Titles; III - Royal Canadian Artillery Titles; IV - Royal Canadian Engineers Titles; V - Royal Canadian Corps of Signals Titles; VI - Canadian Military College and Canadian Officer Training Corps Titles; VII - Canadian Infantry Corps Titles; VIII - Canadian Service Battalion Titles; IX - Royal Canadian Army Medical Corps Titles; X - Canadian Military Police Titles; XI - Miscellaneous Canadian Titles. It concludes with two Appendices: 1 - Order of Precedence (Corps of the Canadian Forces (Integrated), Cavalry/Armour (Integrated), Infantry (Integrated)); and 2 - a six page Index. The book contains 112 pages of text, along with 48 line graphics (no photographs), printed in black inks, on a white paper stock, measuring 212 mm (w) x 280 mm (h) x 7 mm (d), exhibiting light wear and tape repair on the cover, however, the pages remain pristine and very clean. Better than very fine.
