(ОРДЕНЪ ЗА ГРАЖДАНСКА ЗАСЛУГА III CIII). Instituted in 1891. Type II with Imperial Crown (1908-1944). In bronze gilt with red, green and white enamels, measuring 54.2mm (w) x 86.1mm (h -inclusive of its crown suspension), weighs 46.4 grams (including ribbon), small chip in reverse enamel ring and areas of scattered gilt wear, on its original full-length neck ribbon, extremely fine.
In its hardshelled case of issue, deep red dimpled paper exterior, stamped with the Imperial Crown and inscribed "ОРДЕНЪ "ЗА ГРАЖДАНСКА ЗАСЛУГА" III CIII." in gold-coloured ink on the lid, the inside lid lined in off-white embroidered fabric and padded, a white cardboard insert placed within the base and housing medal bed in black velvet, clasp closure, measuring 76mm (w) x 150mm (l) x 25mm (d), edge wear and scuffing evident on the exterior, case better than very fine.
