Belgium, Kingdom. An Order of Leopold I, Grand Cross Star, Type II (1952-Present)

(Ordre de Léopold / Leopoldsorde). Instituted in 1832. Insignia with a multi-piece constriction, in Gold with red and black enamels, mounted to a silver base with four faceted arms, with two points on each arm bearing ball finials, with five emanating rays between each arm, measuring 79.7 mm (w) x 80 mm (h), maker marked "FIBRU FISCH BRUXELLES" on the reverse cartouche, vertical pinback flanked by dual prongs, intact enamels, near mint. Accompanied by its rosette, measuring 8.2 mm in diameter with button hole attachment, in its original cellophane packaging, in their hardshelled case of issue, black dimpled exterior, crowned royal cypher in gold-coloured ink on the lid, inside lid in white satin, padded and maker marked "FISCH BRUXELLES", base with a medal bed in white felt with a large vertical slot designed to house the Breast Star, measuring 110 mm (w) x 135 mm (h) x 45.5 mm (h), case also near mint. 

Footnote: The Order of Leopold I was instituted on July 11, 1832 and is awarded for exemplary bravery in war and especially distinguished service to the Belgian state, in five grades: Grand Cross, Grand Officer, Commander, Officer and Knight, in Civil, Military and Maritime Divisions.
