In response to evolving domestic opinion, eMedals Inc has made the conscious decision to remove the presentation of German Third Reich historical artifacts from our online catalogue. For three decades, eMedals Inc has made an effort to preserve history in all its forms. As historians and researchers, we have managed sensitive articles and materials with the greatest of care and respect for their past and present social context. We acknowledge the growing sentiments put forth by the Canadian public and have taken proactive actions to address this opinion.

Description
Description
(Grabenkunst Beutel). A superb and unusual trench art pouch, constructed of olive-drab velvet and consisting of an Austro-Hungarian overseas cap executed in fine detail and complete with stylized side panels stitched into position along the upper edge. Stitched onto the peak is a wire cockade featuring a gilded centrepiece in the form of the monogram of Emperor Karl, measuring 26 mm in diameter. Dual silver aluminum wire buttons are stitched onto the front just below the peak, replicating a full-size cap’s fasteners. Four bronze patriotic badges are pinned to the left side of the cap. Notably, the underside retains a functional metal zipper closing an interior compartment. Unmarked, it measures 18 cm (l) x 8 cm (h) when folded on a flat surface. A splendid example of trench art produced c. 1917, possibly offered for sale as a wartime fundraising initiative or personal memento, and demonstrating the owner’s attention to detail and pride of service, this pouch remains in an extremely fine condition.
