In silvered aluminum on the right end, marked with the RZM (Reichszeugmeisterei) insignia and the SS Runes flanking "36/39" on the reverse, the buckle measuring 47.5 mm x 64.7 mm. Belt in leather with a thick smooth finished black upper, smooth finished brown underside, smooth finished dark brown leather tab stitched in place to the underside, with seven rows of two holes each for length adjustment on the right end, the owner's name "W. Buseh" inscribed in hand written black ink on the underside of the belt behind the tab, silvered aluminum receiving clip maker marked with the "OLC" (Overhoff & Cie, Ludenscheid) insignia and held firmly in place where the belt wraps around to the reverse on the left end, the belt measuring 44 mm x 1,090 mm. Contact marks visible on the buckle, crazing evident throughout on the black leather upper and the leather tab, light soiling on the underside. Near extremely fine.

Angolia, who start collecting buckles, belts and brocades from 1944 until around 1990; most of the buckles were obtained from the American and German veterans; most of these buckles present a core of Angolia’s book “Belt Buckles & Brocades of the Third Reich”, published in 2001.
