Description
Description
From the estate of Herbert Frohberg, born June 1, 1907 in Dresden. The collection consists of:
Frohberg’s Labour Book (106x148mm, extremely fine). It is dated to Dresden on September 15, 1935. Frohberg studied political economy in Dresden and Brunswick between 1927 and 1930. He then worked in several different jobs in the 1930s, for example as a works manager in a printing company and later in a conveyance company, and as an office clerk for a chemicals wholesale.
A Wound Badge in Black certificate (141x202mm, better than very fine) to Unteroffizier (NCO) Frohberg of the 2nd Company of Panzer Grenadier Replacement and Training Battalion 413 for being wounded once on January 9, 1945. The document is dated to Hartha (Saxony) on March 19, 1945 and signed by a Senior Lieutenant and Battalion Leader, the name is indecipherable.
A certificate booklet for the DRL Sports Badge in Silver (148x208mm, near extremely fine), dated to December 9, 1940.
A special ID for NCO Frohberg to travel to Romania on February 1, 1944 (209x148mm, very fine). The order is somewhat cryptic, but it seems that he was part of a unit tasked with bringing back two Romanian deserters. The document is signed in pencil by the Commander of the patrol service of the Wehrmacht garrison Groß-Berlin.
A Wehrmacht driver’s license for Frohberg (4 p., 97x140mm, extremely fine), part of the 2nd Company of Reserve Panzer Grenadier Battalion 3. The document is dated to September 4, 1944 and signed by a Major and Battalion Commander, the name is indecipherable.
A conscription order (148x104mm, extremely fine) for Frohberg, dated to Berlin on May 30, 1940. It states that Frohberg has to appear at the Army District Command in Berlin on June 6, 1940 to join his unit of deployment.
An international driver’s license (105x147mm, very fine), dated to March 14, 1931 by the police of Dresden. It is valid for one year.
An ID card for the Dresden University (4 p., 70x89mm, very fine), department of chemistry, dated to summer of 1927.
Another ID card for the University of Dresden (4 p., 105x132mm, near very fine), this time for a different department (the name of which is indecipherable), dated to the day that Frohberg enrolled, November 18, 1929.
