(Urdhëri i Skënderbeut). Instituted 1925. Type I (1925-1940). In silver gilt with red, green, and blue enamels, double headed eagle, reverse bearing makers mark “Gardino Succ. Cravanzola,, Roma”, measuring at 53.9 mm (w) x 72.1mm (h - inclusive of star suspension), original ribbon, in extremely fine condition.
Footnote: This Order is associated with the Order of Scanderbeg that was conferred during the Kingdom of Albania and the People's Republic of Albania.This modern iteration of the Order is awarded to foreign and Albanian citizens to recognize significant contributions to the development of Albanian defense and international interests. The recipients of the Order may be proposed by the President of the Republic, the Prime Minister, and the Speaker of Parliament.
