Albania, Italian Protectorate. An Order Of Scanderbeg, Grand Officer Badge, By Cravanzola, c.1940

(Urdhëri i Skënderbeut). Instituted 1925. Type I (1925-1940). In silver gilt with red, green, and blue enamels, double headed eagle, reverse bearing makers mark “Gardino Succ. Cravanzola,, Roma”, measuring at 53.33 mm (w) x 74.63mm (h) and weighing at 46.53 grams, original ribbon, in extremely fine condition. In original case of issue, wooden framed with red leather exterior and black leather sides, monogrammed, interior in silk with Cravanzola, extremely fine.
 
Footnote: This Order is associated with the Order of Scanderbeg that was conferred during the Kingdom of Albania and the People's Republic of Albania.This modern iteration of the Order is awarded to foreign and Albanian citizens to recognize significant contributions to the development of Albanian defense and international interests. The recipients of the Order may be proposed by the President of the Republic, the Prime Minister, and the Speaker of Parliament.
