In response to evolving domestic opinion, eMedals Inc has made the conscious decision to remove the presentation of German Third Reich historical artifacts from our online catalogue. For three decades, eMedals Inc has made an effort to preserve history in all its forms. As historians and researchers, we have managed sensitive articles and materials with the greatest of care and respect for their past and present social context. We acknowledge the growing sentiments put forth by the Canadian public and have taken proactive actions to address this opinion.

Description
Description
This is a very well preserved Wehrmacht Panzer Signals “Feldmütze” constructed of black cotton/rayon blended fabric, with fold-down side and back panels with aggressively sloping, downward scallops on the sides. On both sides of the cap is a single rivet to allow for some airflow throughout the cap. The front of the cap features a machine embroidered Wehrmacht eagle patch in white threading, with a matching black backer. Directly beneath is a machine embroidered lemon-yellow signals Waffenfarbe soutache with a machine embroidered tri-colour cockade beneath. All insignia appear original to the cap and are hand-stitched into place. The interior of the cap is fully lined in a champagne-coloured cotton liner that is maker stamped with black ink (faded and illegible). The cap measures 272 mm x 110 mm when folded, and is in near extremely fine condition, without major signs of age or wear.
Footnote: Although the Waffenfarbe/Branch Colour for all Second War German armoured units was “rosa” (Pink), the Germans also used red for armoured artillery units, lemon yellow for armoured signals units, black for armoured engineer/pioneer units, and red for artillery units. Use of the soutache to identify the branch was abolished on July 10, 1942, although this was neither strictly allowed nor followed.
