In response to evolving domestic opinion, eMedals Inc has made the conscious decision to remove the presentation of German Third Reich historical artifacts from our online catalogue. For three decades, eMedals Inc has made an effort to preserve history in all its forms. As historians and researchers, we have managed sensitive articles and materials with the greatest of care and respect for their past and present social context. We acknowledge the growing sentiments put forth by the Canadian public and have taken proactive actions to address this opinion.

Description
Description
Dual prong open-claw buckle in silvered nickel with a pebbled upper on the right end, marked with the RZM (Reichszeugmeisterei) insignia and maker marked "M5/71" (Overhoff & Cie, Ludenscheid) on the reverse, the buckle measuring 49.5 mm x 75.5 mm. Belt is fabricated from a very thick leather with a smooth finished reddish-brown upper, gray felt underside, six rows of two holes each for length adjustment on the left end, quadruple slotted straps stitched in place to the underside of the belt in two locations: one on the right front and one at the rear, the belt emboss stamped "110" where the belt wraps around the buckle and finishes on the reverse on the right end, two D-rings placed on leather straps looped around the belt: one facing upward, the other facing downward, the belt with one slider and measuring 58 mm x 1,140 mm. Scattered silvering wear evident on the reverse of the buckle, soiling present on the upper, wear and soiling on the felt underside. Better than very fine.
Footnote: From the collection of approximately 900 German buckles accumulated by John R. Angolia, who start collecting buckles, belts and brocades from 1944 until around 1990; most of the buckles were obtained from the American and German veterans; most of these buckles present a core of Angolia’s book “Belt Buckles & Brocades of the Third Reich”, published in 2001.
