British War Medal (94778. PTE.1. H.E. STEVENS. R.A.F.); and Victory Medal (94778. PTE. 1. H.E. STEVENS. R.A.F.). Naming is officially impressed. Un-mounted, replacement ribbons, very light contact, near extremely fine. Accompanied by the two cardboard boxes of issue (each labelled "94778 / Pte.1. / H.E. Stevens / R.A.F.", with their medal envelopes inside), along with copies of two pages of his Service Records from the National Archives.
Footnote: Henry Ernest Stevens married Margaret Ellen Stevens on September 7, 1907 in Bromley and was employed as a Labourer, when he enlisted with the Royal Flying Corps as an Air Mechanic 3rd Class, on September 4, 1917. Six weeks later, he was sent to France, on October 15, 1917 and was transferred to the Royal Air Force as a Private 2nd Class on April 1, 1918, when the Royal Flying Corps and the Royal Naval Air Service merged that day. He was reclassified as a Private 1st Class effective May 15, 1919 and was stationed in France for the duration of the war, until March 15, 1919, a total of seventeen months, then discharged from service on April 30, 1920. For his First World War service, he was awarded the British War Medal and the Victory Medal, which were sent to him in October 1921.
