In response to evolving domestic opinion, eMedals Inc has made the conscious decision to remove the presentation of German Third Reich historical artifacts from our online catalogue. For three decades, eMedals Inc has made an effort to preserve history in all its forms. As historians and researchers, we have managed sensitive articles and materials with the greatest of care and respect for their past and present social context. We acknowledge the growing sentiments put forth by the Canadian public and have taken proactive actions to address this opinion.

Description
Description
Molded and smooth blackened leather helmet, raised and padded protective bars running horizontally around the helmet's bottom edge, with an additional protective bar running from front to back over the crown. First pattern NSKK eagle in die-stamped aluminum with red and black paint secured in place to the front in its correct position, the wings pinned via intact pins and washers on the inside of the helmet. Three holes with metal eyelets on both sides for ventilation, along with a short blackened leather visor stitched to the front. Fold down protective black leather panel that covers the sides and the rear of the helmet, with u-shaped patches that are open along the straight edge stitched in place over the ears. Right side with a chin strap housing seven holes for length adjustment, magnetic black buckle stitched in place on the left side strap, each strap held in place via two rivets, and when the chin strap is fed through the buckle on the left side, ensures a snug fit.
Helmet comes complete with its original nine-panel butterscotch-coloured leather liner, the ends of the liner stitched together at the rear, each panel with a hole at the tip housing its original drawstring, the holes with a circular reinforcement on both the top and underside, inscribed in handwritten blue ink "H. Albrecht, Sturmmann / Bad-Sülze / Sturm ii/M. 112" on the right side and size stamped "57" on one of the rear panels. Exterior exhibits crazing in the leather on the top and on the visor, along scattered nips and scuff marks, wear and light soiling along the open edge of the liner and wear on the chin strap from active use. Very fine.
Footnote: Bad Sülze is a town in the Vorpommern-Rügen district, in Mecklenburg-Western Pomerania, Germany. It is situated on the river Recknitz, 35 km southwest of Stralsund, and 35 km east of Rostock.
