In response to evolving domestic opinion, eMedals Inc has made the conscious decision to remove the presentation of German Third Reich historical artifacts from our online catalogue. For three decades, eMedals Inc has made an effort to preserve history in all its forms. As historians and researchers, we have managed sensitive articles and materials with the greatest of care and respect for their past and present social context. We acknowledge the growing sentiments put forth by the Canadian public and have taken proactive actions to address this opinion.

Description
Description
Buckle in silvered aluminum on the right end, unmarked, illustrating a rotated swastika in the centre, inscribed "Gott mit uns" in German Gothic lettering above, with a half-wreath of oak leaves below, the buckle measuring 48.2 mm. Upper of the belt in fine aluminum wire, with two rows of aluminum wire and black embroidered dashes flanking a central row of red embroidered dashes and interlaced with white threading, forest green wool sides and underside, smooth finished butterscotch-coloured leather tab stitched in place on the underside on the right end, the tab with seven rows of two holes each for length adjustment, matching silvered aluminum receiving clip in place on the left end where the belt wraps around to the reverse, two sliders on the belt with fine aluminum wire and embroidered uppers and forest green wool backers, the belt measuring 46 mm x 1,030 mm. Scattered fraying along the edges of the aluminum wire on the upper, white threading has separated where the belt wraps around to the reverse on the left end leaving the receiving clip unsecured, very light crazing on the leather tab, the forest green wool sides and underside free of mothing. Better than extremely fine.
Footnote: From the collection of approximately 900 German buckles accumulated by John R. Angolia, who start collecting buckles, belts and brocades from 1944 until around 1990; most of the buckles were obtained from the American and German veterans; most of these buckles present a core of Angolia’s book “Belt Buckles & Brocades of the Third Reich”, published in 2001.
