What's a max bid?

Your maximum bid should be the highest amount you're willing to pay for an item.

Your entered maximum bid will not be disclosed to the seller or other auction participants at any point.

If the current auction price is $100 dollars and you place a maximum bid of $120 dollars, the system will bid $101 dollars on your behalf.

If no other participant places a bid, you win that auction lot for $101 dollars.

If another auction participant places a bid of $110 dollars, the system will subsequently place a bid of $111 dollars on your behalf. The system will continue to bid in $1.00 dollar increments until your maximum bid of $120 dollars is exceeded.

If another auction participant places a bid for $125 dollars, the auction lot price will display $121 dollars having exceeded your previously submitted maximum bid by $1.00 dollar.

D.C."" on the reverse, 27.5 mm (w) x 29 mm (h), missing its screwback); 91st Coast Artillery Corps (bronze gilt with red enamels, maker marked ""NS MEYER INC NEW YORK"" with the company's insignia on the reverse, 28 mm (w) x 28.5 mm (h), screwback); 92nd Coast Artillery Corps (bronze gilt with red and black enamels, maker marked ""NS MEYER INC NEW YORK"" with the company's insignia on the reverse, 22 mm (w) x 30.8 mm (h), screwback); and 244th Coastal Artillery Regiment (bronze gilt with red, white and light blue enamels, unmarked, 26.3 mm (w) x 32.5 mm (h), screwback). This offering is a part of the "Dr. Albert Goodwin Collection", a preeminent assemblage of world Orders, Medals, and Decorations composed solely by Dr.Goodwin between 1946-1967. Dr. Goodwin had a successful career as an educator and prominent physician in New York as well as actively serving in both World Wars with the United States Medical Corps. He acted as both President and Vice-President of the Orders and Medals Society of America (OMSA) and is responsible for organizing their first convention in 1960. He maintained further membership with the American Society of Military Collectors, the International Orders Research Society, and the American Numismatic Society. His knowledge and passion for history and awards is evident in this meticulously compiled collection that is now available in its entirety for the first time exclusively on eMedals.com.
