Queen's Own Rifles Semi-Centennial Reunion Medal 1860-1910: in sterling silver with red and green enamels, obverse illustrating the Queen's Own Rifles regimental insignia flanked by the dates "1860" and "1910", surrounded by the inscription "QUEEN'S OWN RIFLES SEMI-CENTENNIAL REUNION", reverse hallmarked with an "R" fronting a maple leaf within an octagonal frame (P.W. Ellis & Company of Toronto) and marked "STERLING", measuring 27.7 mm (w) x 31.8 mm (h) inclusive of its integral ring, on its original ribbon with pinback hanger inscribed "QOR" flanked by "1860" on the left and "1910" on the right, intact enamels, contact marks present on the reverse.
2. Queen's Own Rifles "G" Company Presentation Medal, c. 1890's: in silvered bronze, obverse illustrating the engraved Queen's Own Rifles regimental insignia, reverse engraved in a combination of running script and Gothic lettering "G COMPANY / Presented by Lieut. Hodgins", with an open-ended wreath composed of two branches of laurel leaves, measuring 44.5 mm in diameter, exhibiting bruising, edge nicks and silvering wear.
Better than very fine and near fine, respectively.
