(Ehrenzeichen Gausieger im Reichsberufswettkampf). Constructed of feinkzink with enames, the obverse consisting of a white enameled disk with a raised inscription of “GAUSIEGER 1944” (“REGIONAL WINNER 1939”), within a laurel wreath, overlaid by a German national eagle clutching a cog wheel, in turn bearing a HJ insignia in the form of a red and white enameled diamond with a central black mobile swastika, the reverse with a ball hinge and vertical pinback meeting a round wire catch, maker marked “G. BREHMER, MARKNEUKIRCHEN”, measuring 49.55 mm (w) x 47.18 mm (h), weighing 23.2 grams, accompanied by its period original case, constructed of card stock with a faux mauve leather exterior, the interior with a slotted red felt medal bed, opening with a functional magnetic metal hinge, the interior lid with a handwritten blue ink inscription of “3. REICH: GAUSIEGER ABZEICHEN 1944”, measuring 68 mm (w) x 68 mm (l) x 18 mm (h), in extremely fine condition.
