What's a max bid?

Your maximum bid should be the highest amount you're willing to pay for an item.

Your entered maximum bid will not be disclosed to the seller or other auction participants at any point.

Max bidding example:

If the current auction price is $100 dollars and you place a maximum bid of $120 dollars, the system will bid $101 dollars on your behalf.

If no other participant places a bid, you win that auction lot for $101 dollars.

If another auction participant places a bid of $110 dollars, the system will subsequently place a bid of $111 dollars on your behalf. The system will continue to bid in $1.00 dollar increments until your maximum bid of $120 dollars is exceeded.

If another auction participant places a bid for $125 dollars, the auction lot price will display $121 dollars having exceeded your previously submitted maximum bid by $1.00 dollar.

Buyer's Premium

All bids are subject to a Buyer's Premium which is in addition to the placed successful bid. The following rate of Buyer's Premium will be added to the Hammer Price of each Lot that you purchase:

A Complete & Decorated Army Officer's Uniform

The tunic is produced in a fine quality, soft to the touch field grey wool that is extremely clean. There is minimal wear and discoloration only, with a few very small holes that are not much of a distraction. (primarily on the trousers). There are four pleated pockets with scalloped flaps and a six-button closure. All buttons are pebbled silver finished aluminum. There are sewn-in shoulder boards that exhibit a matte silver flatwire face with white piping and a yellow underlay that serves as another row of piping. The collar tabs have been hand applied to the collar. These have silver flatwire columns with bullion highlights over green wool. The hand applied Army breast eagle is a beautiful, bullion example with bright silver highlights over dark green wool. The left breast pocket has five loops for awards, and there are three loops for a large ribbon bar just above. Here, an Iron Cross First Class 1939, magnetic core, flat, unmarked, in extremely fine condition. Properly attached is the ribbon for the Iron Cross Second class 1914 as well as a Clasp to Iron Cross Second Class, Second version, in silvered tombac, marked L/18, very nice quality with fine silvering and old patina, extremely fine condition. On the right breast pocket is a beautiful German Cross in Gold, cloth version, on Army grey-green cloth backing, very fine. On the left sleeve is hand sewn a Kuban Shield, magnetic and bronzed, in very fine condition. The interior is fully lined in green rayon that remains very clean with dagger hanger fully intact. The belt and holster show true signs of use and are marked WA757, 1941. The pants are produced in soft grey wool. They display some very minor wear and discoloration only. The boots again show signs of period use and are marked 1860 45 on the interior and marked size 45 on the bottom. Overall, this is a complete and wonderfully conditioned set.
