(Tapferkeitsmedaille 1915 in Bronze). Instituted 20 February 1915 by Duke Ernst II. (1915-1918 issue). Constructed of bronze, on loop for suspension from its period original ribbon, the obverse with a raised Cross Pattée bearing a central Saxon coat of arms, topped by a royal crown and flanked by a date of “1914”, the reverse with a central monogram of Duke Ernst II, unmarked, measuring 31.27 mm in diameter, in near extremely fine condition.
